1970’s patchwork suede and leather skirt by Parisian Designer Jean-Louis Scherrer. Featuring pinks, reds, purples and a splash of gold. Beautiful leather-work, with psychedelic-inspired shaped appliquéd and patchworked together.
Scherrer was a designer for Christian Dior in the late 1950’s, alongside Yves Saint-Laurent. He launched his own label in the 1960’s, boasting clients such as First Lady Jackie Kennedy and Raquel Welch. His company was bought out in the 1990’s by Hermès - and Scherrer was fired from his own label.
