Original 1930’s uniform, handmade by James Beever & Co Ltd., Huddersfield. This jacket also comes with a matching waistcoat and trousers. Made with thick, felted wool in fire engine red with black cuffs, and a thick quilted lining.
James Beever & Co. Ltd. was a traditional uniform makers that began in 1864, for chauffeurs, bandsmen, theatre & cinema attendants, etc. working out of Brook Street, Huddersfield. This was purchased from the grandson of the original wearer.
Approximately a women’s size 10-12. Excellent Condition.
